Julia Kelly-DavisJulia was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. She discovered her passion for theatre in the sixth grade when her music teacher encouraged her to join the choir and audition for the school musical. Eleven year old Julia was cast as "Gertrude McFuzz" in Seussical Jr., and has been acting ever since. Julia has performed all throughout the country, portraying roles that exhibit her quirky yet commanding persona, as well as her sharp-witted yet elegant demeanor. Equally at home in both contemporary and classical musical theatre styles, she has performed such diverse roles as "Lilli Vanessi/Kate" in Kiss Me, Kate, "Vivienne Kensington" in Legally Blonde, "Rusty" in Footloose, "Lucy Grant" in Bright Star, and "Lauren" in Footloose. Julia graduated in May of 2019, receiving her Bachelor of Music from the Music Theatre and Opera program at Arizona State University. Immediately following, she moved to Charleston, South Carolina for a year long Resident Actor position with Charleston Stage. Cut a few weeks short due to Covid-19, Julia moved home to Arizona for the following year and focused heavily on developing her own private vocal studio. She returned to Charleston in 2021 for her second year residency with Charleston Stage. Presently, Julia is a singer with Norwegian Cruise Line. She most recently completed a 9 month contract in Europe. While not performing, you can find Julia in the gym, spending time with animals, or drinking a nice glass of pinot noir. |
